Welcome to the HO Scale Conrail Chicago line. The model railroad is built in the basement of our home and features 2 main levels and one staging level with 10 storage tracks. The overall layout is 36’x27′ and there are two, 4-turn helixes to get trains to each level. All of the track is Peco Code 83 flex track with #6 insulfrog switches. Midwest cork was used for the sub roadbed. It takes roughly 20 minutes for a train to make a complete loop around the entire layout. An NCE Power Pro DCC system runs the entire layout and there are three separate power districts. Below is the track diagram for the Conrail Chicago Line.
